For the second year in a row, Lenovo is launching THINK ON. Ukraine, an educational grant program for entrepreneurs. Thanks to the program, representatives of small and micro businesses have the opportunity to gain knowledge and financing for the development of their own business. This year, the grant fund size is UAH 1 million. All interested parties can apply on the program’s website until January 26, 2024.

The opportunity to participate in the selection and receive funding under THINK ON. Ukraine is opened to Ukrainian production and service companies that apply innovations in product and business approach. The main requirements for participation are presence on the market for at least 2 years and having a team of 5 to 50 employees, etc. Detailed information about the conditions is available on the program’s website in the "Criteria" section.

In 2024, the THINK ON. Ukraine grant program will focus on supporting micro-entrepreneurship and small business, so the grant funding will be divided between three winners:

  • 1st place – UAH 500,000;
  • 2nd place – UAH 300,000;
  • 3rd place – UAH 200,000.

Everybody will be able to take an in-depth training course on developing and scaling own business, consisting of 9 lectures. The finalists can expect a master class on public speaking before pitching, as well as a separate lecture by the head of the jury, Andrii Fedoriv.

The project stages

  • January 26 – deadline for applications;
  • January 29 – the start of the training course;
  • February 21 – announcement of 10 finalists;
  • March 13 – final pitching to determine the winners who will receive grant funding. It will take place live in the innovation park UNIT.City.

The jury:

  • Andrii Fedoriv, head of the jury, marketer, entrepreneur, investor, founder of the marketing agency Fedoriv Agency. GP and CEO of Vesna Capital Investment Fund;
  • Taras Dzhamalov, CEO of Lenovo in Ukraine;
  • Inna Popereshniuk, entrepreneur, co-founder of Nova Poshta, co-owner of the restaurants "100 Years Forward", "Other Bistro", "Other Bar" and "Poltava";
  • Maksym Zaika, operations director of Marie Fresh Cosmetics, winner of the first THINK ON. Ukraine grant program;
  • Yaroslav Yaroslavskyi, multi-entrepreneur and investor, business development advisor and co-founder at PLATMA, mentor at Huge Thing/Google fot Startups, board member of Sikorsy Challange, founder of BF "Swichado".

The participants will receive gifts from Lenovo and program partners: Lean Institute Ukraine and Indi Vision.

 

About the previous grant program

Last year, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the ThinkPad, Lenovo laptop brand implemented the THINK ON. Ukraine grant program. Last year, the expert jury of the grant program chose Bionerica, which is engaged in harvesting and processing of berries and mushrooms, as the winner. The company received UAH 1 million, which it used to expand the production capacity of the processing plant and increase the number of work places.
